Who We Are

Attention Whales is operated by Alt F Awesome B.V., Badhuiskade 127, 1031 KV Amsterdam, the Netherlands, KvK 42116332. We provide analytics and reporting for connected social media and analytics accounts at https://attentionwhales.com. If you have questions about this policy, contact: daniel@altfawesome.com.

Information We Collect

We collect account information needed to provide the service, such as your login email, name/avatar when provided by a sign-in provider, connected page or account identifiers, and analytics/insight metrics returned by platform APIs.

Google User Data

When you use Google Sign-In or connect Google products, Attention Whales accesses Google user data only as needed to operate the service:

• Google Sign-In (openid, email): to create or authenticate your Attention Whales account using your verified Google email.
• YouTube (youtube.readonly, yt-analytics.readonly, plus basic identity scopes): to list channels you authorize and fetch video statistics, watch time, average view duration, and subscribers gained for your dashboard.
• Google Analytics (analytics.readonly, plus basic identity scopes): to list GA4 properties you authorize and fetch report metrics for your dashboard.
• Search Console (webmasters.readonly, plus basic identity scopes): to list Search Console properties you authorize and fetch organic search metrics (clicks, impressions, CTR, average position) for your dashboard.
• Google Ads (https://www.googleapis.com/auth/adwords): to list Google Ads customer accounts you authorize and fetch paid campaign metrics (spend, impressions, clicks, conversions) for Insights → Paid. Access is read-only in product use: Attention Whales does not create, edit, pause, or delete campaigns, ads, or budgets.

We use this Google user data solely to authenticate you, connect approved accounts, fetch analytics for display in Attention Whales, and maintain service reliability and security. We do not sell Google user data. We do not use Google user data for advertising. We do not use Google user data to train AI/ML models. We do not transfer Google user data to third parties except to infrastructure providers required to operate the app (for example hosting and database providers), or if required by law.

Attention Whales's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Facebook User Data

When you connect Facebook or Instagram through Facebook Login, Attention Whales stores the Facebook app-scoped user ID, name, and access tokens needed to list Pages and Instagram accounts you authorize and to fetch analytics for your dashboard. We use this data only to operate the service. We do not sell Facebook user data and do not use it for advertising.

If you request deletion through Facebook, we delete Facebook-sourced records for that Facebook user ID, including tokens, connected Pages/Instagram accounts from that login, and related analytics. Your Attention Whales login (email or Google) is separate and is not removed unless you ask us to delete the whole account.

Shopify Store Data

When you connect a Shopify store, Attention Whales uses read-only access (read_orders, read_products) to sync order totals, product titles, SKUs, and quantities for analytics and revenue reporting in your workspace. We do not modify your storefront, theme, checkout, or orders.

We do not store Shopify customer contact profiles (such as customer names, emails, or addresses) for marketing. Order rows in our database are limited to aggregated revenue metrics and product line details needed for reporting.

You can disconnect Shopify from Connect or brand settings at any time. After app uninstall, Shopify sends compliance webhooks to https://attentionwhales.com/api/webhooks/shopify; we delete stored tokens, connection records, and Shopify-sourced revenue metrics for that shop. For account-wide deletion, contact info@attentionwhales.com.

TikTok User Data

When you connect a TikTok creator account, Attention Whales requests user.info.basic and video.list. We use those permissions to show the creator display name and avatar on the accounts screen, and to fetch public videos with engagement metrics (views, likes, comments, shares) for Posts and daily reporting.

We use TikTok data only to operate the analytics dashboard. We do not post, comment, or send messages on TikTok. We do not sell TikTok user data and do not use it for advertising. You can disconnect TikTok from Settings → Accounts at any time, which stops further syncs for that connection. To request deletion of your Attention Whales account and associated TikTok data, contact daniel@altfawesome.com.

How We Use Information

We use data only to authenticate users, connect approved social and analytics accounts, fetch analytics, display reports, and maintain service reliability and security.

Data Sharing

We do not sell personal data. We share data only with service providers required to operate the app (for example hosting and database providers) or if required by law.

Data Retention and Deletion

We retain data only as long as needed to provide the service. Encrypted OAuth tokens and synced metrics are stored on our hosting and database providers until you disconnect the account or request deletion. You can disconnect Google Sign-In, YouTube, Google Analytics, Google Ads, Meta, and Shopify from Settings → Accounts / Connect at any time, which revokes further API access with those tokens. You can also revoke Attention Whales in your Google Account at https://myaccount.google.com/permissions. Facebook Login deletion requests are handled automatically at https://attentionwhales.com/api/meta/data-deletion. You can request deletion of your Attention Whales account and associated data by contacting daniel@altfawesome.com.

Security

We use reasonable technical safeguards to protect stored data, including encrypted token storage and access controls.

Policy Updates

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected on this page.
