Who We Are

Attention Whales ("we", "us") provides analytics and reporting for connected social media and analytics accounts at https://attentionwhales.com. If you have questions about this policy, contact: daniel@altfawesome.com.

Information We Collect

We collect account information needed to provide the service, such as your login email, name/avatar when provided by a sign-in provider, connected page or account identifiers, and analytics/insight metrics returned by platform APIs.

Google User Data

When you use Google Sign-In or connect Google products, Attention Whales accesses Google user data only as needed to operate the service:

Google Sign-In (openid, email): to create or authenticate your Attention Whales account using your verified Google email.
YouTube (youtube.readonly, plus basic identity scopes): to list channels you authorize and fetch public video/performance metrics for your dashboard.
Google Analytics (analytics.readonly, plus basic identity scopes): to list GA4 properties you authorize and fetch report metrics for your dashboard.

We use this Google user data solely to authenticate you, connect approved accounts, fetch analytics for display in Attention Whales, and maintain service reliability and security. We do not sell Google user data. We do not use Google user data for advertising. We do not transfer Google user data to third parties except to infrastructure providers required to operate the app (for example hosting and database providers), or if required by law.

Facebook User Data

When you connect Facebook or Instagram through Facebook Login, Attention Whales stores the Facebook app-scoped user ID, name, and access tokens needed to list Pages and Instagram accounts you authorize and to fetch analytics for your dashboard. We use this data only to operate the service. We do not sell Facebook user data and do not use it for advertising.

If you request deletion through Facebook, we delete Facebook-sourced records for that Facebook user ID, including tokens, connected Pages/Instagram accounts from that login, and related analytics. Your Attention Whales login (email or Google) is separate and is not removed unless you ask us to delete the whole account.

How We Use Information

We use data only to authenticate users, connect approved social and analytics accounts, fetch analytics, display reports, and maintain service reliability and security.

Data Sharing

We do not sell personal data. We share data only with service providers required to operate the app (for example hosting and database providers) or if required by law.

Data Retention and Deletion

We retain data only as long as needed to provide the service. You can disconnect Google / YouTube / Analytics / Meta accounts from the Connect page at any time, which stops further access with those tokens. Facebook Login deletion requests are handled automatically at https://attentionwhales.com/api/meta/data-deletion. You can request deletion of your Attention Whales account and associated data by contacting daniel@altfawesome.com.

Security

We use reasonable technical safeguards to protect stored data, including encrypted token storage and access controls.

Policy Updates

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected on this page.
